    Vintage Original 1946 U.S. Army Service Forces - Headquarters Fourth Service Command - Letter
    Dated April 26, 1946
    To CWO Henry H. Gruver and from Major S.E. Mear (Samuel Edgar Mear), Chief of the Music Branch, Athletic & Recreation Division.  The letter is signed by Major Mear.
    The letter mentions the 473rd and 326th ASF Bands, and the Oliver General Hospital band.
    Major Mear was a well known composer and musician, and an original member of the American Bandmasters Association.  He was the father of Sidney Mear.
    One page.  Measures 8" x 10 1/2".
    This letter has been folded.  It is in vintage condition with discoloration and marks.  There is a tear at the top of the letter in the center, and there is a hole at the bottom center.
