    Description

    A Tommi Parzinger (German-American, 1903-1981) midcentury modern coffee table with a beveled oval glass top supported by a steel, brass and wooden frame with curvilinear legs connecting to the classic mid-C. green colored base.
    Parzinger was known for "high-style modernism" representing a "more idiosyncratic, rarefied midcentury design".
    Tommi Parzinger is considered one of the key creators of the Hollywood Regency look,  known for his fine-boned furniture combining modernist practicality with Hollywood glamor.
    His clients included Marlyn Monroe and Arthur Miller, the DuPont family and the Rockefellers, to name a few.
    This table is terribly chic w/ even the most eclectic of decors: It truly complements any style or taste.
    The table is 58" long, 26" deep, 16 1/2" tall and the glass is 1/2" thick.
    It is marked "Parzinger Originals" and marked with the # "6610" on the underside of the light
    green base.
    The table is in original condition and was purchased at Tommi Parzinger's shop in Manhattan by my Grandmother in the 40's or 50's, they along with my mother, were lifelong friends.
    There are very minor scratches to the glass as well as to the base.
